Chronoglossa — No Time, No Detail
(3D print, wooden infographic panels, language system, 170cm x 128cm)

Chronoglossa is a 3-dimensional visual language system that combines logographic and semasiographic elements as a critique of society's relentless pace. Through ornamental structures, it disguises a deeper message about the impact of modern life on our perception of beauty and meaning. Chronoglossa presents itself as a 3D-printed sculpture together with flatbed-printed wooden panels containing infographics for deciphering/explanation purposes.

The language invites viewers to slow down, engage with its complexity, and reflect on how our fast-moving, digitally-driven world shapes our values and experience. Inspired by many ancient and contemporary languages and icon/symbol systems, science-fiction, fantasy, and both traditional and modern cultural movements. Chronoglossa aims to reclaim beauty as an active force for change—one that not only critiques the status quo but also envisions a more thoughtful, balanced future where art, technology, and the environment are in harmony. The project encourages a renewed sense of beauty, urging us to reconsider how we interact with the world and what we value in the things we create.
